Austrian Tyrol & Germany

Germany, Austria, Europe

Fantastic scenery and great biking roads in the Austrian Tirol and Germany

Our tours to Austria are always popular and so we have no hesitation in returning again, however, this year we are increasing the tour by one day to give you even more time to enjoy the numerous great ride-outs available in the Austrian Tyrol. Our 4 night base is one which many of you know well and enjoy. Set in the beautiful Kauner valley it is ideally located to reach the Timmelsjoch (2474m), Silvretta (2036m) and the one everyone wants to ride with its 40 hairpin bends, the Stelvio Pass (2765m). After 4 nights in Austria we return via Lake Constance and the Southern Black Forest to spend a night on the scenic Alsace wine route. Our final two nights are spent in Trier, one of the oldest cities in Germany and an ideal centre from which to tour the beautiful Mosel Valley. The tour will especially appeal to those who enjoy the thrill of riding mountain passes, but is also ideal for those who prefer the fast sweeping roads of the beautiful manicured river valleys, which the Austrian Tyrol has in abundance. The second half of the tour is less demanding, but is in one of my favourite parts of Germany, with its scenic riverside roads and Fairy-Tale castles.
