Tuscan Weekend

Tuscany, Italy - Alps, Europe

From the rendezvous point at Pisa airport the 4 night Tuscan weekend tour gives the opportunity to sample the rides and roads we include in our longer trips at a more affordable price

Motorbikes are collected on the first day (early afternoon) followed by an entertaining circular ride to the hills north of Lucca and back to the base hotel just outside the Lucca city walls.

The following days and nights will present many chances for some fun riding and some luxurious relaxation.

Itinerary

The meeting point is Pisa airport at 12.30pm on the start date of your tour. If you cannot meet at this time, please contact us.

From the meeting point you will be taken by the support vehicle to the DucatiTours' base for a briefing and the allocation of bikes. There are changing facilities available and there will be time to sort out any small items you would like to carry with you.

The first afternoon includes a ride into the foothills of the Apennines north of Lucca, up to the ski resort of Abetone. The first ride is used by the guides to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the bikes and roads.

The Welcome Dinner is part of the tour price and will be held at a restaurant within the Lucca walls

Day 2 sees us set off for a full day on sweeping roads winding south through Tuscany before looping back around to Lucca. For convenience and to not lose any riders this early(!) we advise all participants to bring a mobile phone that works in Italy. The riding today will demonstrate the huge variety and challenge of Tuscany's roads and will, for those who have not been here before, really show you why we set up this business!

Day 3 sees us head back north into the higher mountains of the Apennines. We will be following the famous Passo dei Radici on a circular route of approx 300km before our return to Lucca

We have a factory tour booked at Bologna so todays ride takes us over the hills into Emilia Romagna. The return leg is a little less direct and takes in some of the famous Mille Miglia route before we return to Lucca for the customary Farewell Dinner.

The final morning bikes are returned to the DucatiTours' base and all participants are transported back to the airport.
