Itinerary

Day 1 - Get used to your bike today as we ride around Christchurch and surrounding areas to give you the real feel of New Zealand. Tonight we celebrate with authentic kiwi cuisine, a true Maori welcome, and real kiwis!

Day 2 - Being based on the Inland Scenic Route, you're already on your way to the Southern Alps, stopping at a typical Canterbury farming town before heading over the mountains to the glacial blue Lake Tekapo. We’ll be visiting the Church of the Good Shepherd, New Zealands smallest church before taking the fantastic 5 star motorcycling road to Mt Cook, home of the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre.

Day 3 - This morning you'll be riding from Mount Cook heading south-east, you'll be riding alongside the South Islands hydro lakes with a visit to a couple of hydro-dams, then it’s through the rolling Otago hills and onwards alongside the Pacific ocean to the city of Dunedin.

Day 4 - Today is a Rest or Ride day in Dunedin which is renowned for it's scottish style architecture and rare wildlife such as the yellow-eyed penguins and Royal Albatross. Explore this wonderful historical city for the day and take in the sights, there's plenty to do and the Otago Peninsula offers a great ride.

Day 5 - Leaving Dunedin you get to ride the Southern Scenic Route through the Catlins Forest Park, this has only been sealed in the past few years opening yet another fantastic route for motorcyclists, stopping for lunch in the town of Invercargill to see Burt Munro’s ‘Fastest Indian' is a great highlight. Then it's north east to Te Anau, the gateway to Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound.

Day 6 - Today you'll be riding one of the top riding routes in the world - the Fiordland National Park road into Milford Sound. Majestic mountains awash with waterfalls, mountain parrots flying overhead. Included in your tour package is a two-hour scenic boat cruise around Milford Sound where you may see dolphin, seals and penguins as well as getting to see New Zealands most pristine and scenic region.

Day 7 - Lakes, mountains, rivers, countryside villages, a winery lunch and time to watch the famous bungy jumping before we reach Queenstown, the 'adventure capital’ of the world. And rightly named! There's time this afternoon to relax and explore this exciting Alpine town and its surrounding areas, taking advantage of the many activities on offer.

Day 8 - A rest or ride day for you to do your own thing in Queenstown. Recommended activities and attractions include jet-boating, white-water rafting, paragliding, Gondola ride to mountain top, the luge, vintage steamship lake cruise & farm tour, The Lord of the Rings Jeep tour and much more. You may also decide to go for a popular local ride in the afternoon with your guides, we're always happy to go out for a ride around Queenstown.

Day 9 - Today we ride over the highest tar-sealed road in New Zealand towards the lush rainforests of the west coast. Historic pubs, lakes, rivers, interesting townships and Tasman sea views to die for before the gigantic mountains with their glaciers start towering overhead.

Day 10 - After visiting the mighty Glaciers we ride northwards with crashing waves on our left, rain-forest to our right. We stop to check out the local flora and fauna of the ruggest West Coast, then some of the most scenic coastal riding you'll ever do to the small township of Punakaiki where we’ll be checking out the magnificent blow-holes and 'pancake rocks'.

Day 11 - Today is a truly breath-taking journey taking us from Punakaiki on the west coast, over the Southern Alps via the great Arthurs Pass and back to the Canterbury plains and Christchurch 'The Garden City'.
