TTXGP UK: Jenny Tinmouth sports fine form in first win

After being the fastest rider in qualifying for the Anglesey edition of the TTXGP UK - just as she had been in the series opener - there was no way Jenny Tinmouth was going to settle for the bottom step of the podium. She knew she had the speed to do the deed and went out and did it, becoming the first woman to win a TTXGP race.

Not that it was a total giveaway. The first turn saw her in third position after Pete Ward grabbed the lead with a brilliant start on Team Hussars' MavizenTTX02 and her teammate Rob Moon managed to squeeze in behind him. The Team Agni machines weren't to be scorned, though, and shortly after Moon jumped over Ward, Tinmouth did the same, leaving only the leathers of the series leader ahead of her. Displaying the kind of form that's made her the fastest woman to ever round the Isle of Man Snaefell Mountain Course (119.945 miles per hour!), she kept her head down and reeled him in before settling down to finish up the business.

In the process, she also achieved the quickest lap time with a 1:20.922 that gave her the Green Insurance Award. To see the final results and watch on-board video of Jenny's fast lap
